JD and the nucleus of the JD Hall Band have been
working together playing clubs, casinos, corporate
parties, private parties, fairs, wedding receptions and other events
throughout Southern California since January 1999. The JD Hall Band roster
expands or contracts from a 5 piece to a 10 piece band depending on the
event, but no matter what the number of players may be, JD Hall & The JD
Hall Band puts out a sound and puts on a show that will have you dancing

JD Hall - Lead Singer
A California native, JD is a superb blues and R&B vocalist and a master of
contemporary favorites. Performing at fairs, weddings, clubs and casinos,
corporate and private parties throughout Southern California, JD sings lead
with his band THE JD HALL BAND. Having fronted various R&B, blues and rock
bands since childhood, JD's experience is vast. In 1981, JD released R&B
dance hits such as "Wonder Woman" and "#1 Lover", which exploded on Los
Angeles radio stations and sold well throughout the world. JD has performed
these hits before thousands throughout Southern California, opening for
popular groups and sharing the stage with musical divas like Mary Wells and
Stacy Q. JD is not just a vocalist; he is a total show, one that you will
not soon forget.
Vince Le Beau
- Guitar & Background Vocals
Vince attended Berkley College of music in Boston at age 18 and has toured
and recorded with Barry White and many other named acts. In addition to guitar,
he
plays 12 other instruments. Vince is a powerful pulse behind the JD Hall
Band.
Day Wilson - Keyboards
& Background Vocals
Day has worked 20 years as a professional musician. He toured the world for
10 years as a musical director in show bands. He has produced 20 albums in
various styles. Day loves the grove that only live gigs can produce. The JD
Hall Band takes that groove to an entirely new level.
Michael Grimes - Drums & Background
Vocals
Michael whose professional career started at an early age, studied music at
Ludwig School of Music and majored in music at Washington University.
Michael has toured with well known artists such as the Coasters, Carla and
Rufus Thomas, Luther Ingram, Joe Tex and a world tour with The Albert King
Blues Band. He is a real "pocket" player and everything in his drumming is
all about the groove.
Danny Franklin - Bass & Background Vocals
While majoring in music at ARC, Danny joined the Sacramento based band
Funk'n Jive and worked the West Coast club circuit (San Diego to Seattle). 3
years later Danny moved to LA and spent the next 12 years playing the better
clubs in town and on the road. 1985 Danny joined Double Entente and landed a
record contract with Columbia Records. Double Entente produced the singles
"Sleeping Dogs" which made it up to #3 on Billboard's Dance Charts in 1984
and "New Dance" in 1985 for Columbia. His addition to the JD Hall Band
provides a perfect "bottom" from which the band gets their unstoppable
groove.
Scott Wright - Trumpet
Scott has worked in the Los Angeles as a freelance trumpet player
for over twenty years and is currently a member of the JD Hall Band. Scott has
performed on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Conan O’Brian Show, The
Today Show,VH1, and Christmas at Rockefeller Center and others. Scott has
played lead trumpet for the Four Tops in Las Vegas and Walt Disney Company
and is a welcome addition to the JD Hall Band. Scott is a graduate of Long
Beach State with a Bachelors degree in performance and a Masters in Jazz
Studies.
Daniel Hefferman - Saxophone
Daniel is also a new member to the horn section of the JD Hall Band. He
plays tenor saxophone but is just as dynamic playing soprano, alto and
baritone saxophone. Daniel is not limited to the saxophone; he also plays
the flute, piccolo and clarinet. Dan is no stranger to the celebrities, he
has played for Mary Wilson and the Supremes, Robert Goulet, Florence
Henderson, Ben Vereen, and Melba Moore. Dan has also toured with the Guy
Lombardo Orchestra.
